I am a certified Mad Dogg spin instructor currently teaching at Recycle Studio in Boston’s South End. You can read a review of my class here. The best way to follow my class schedule is to check out Recycle’s site or follow me on twitter @theaspiringrd. Currently, I teach Tuesday at 7pm, Thursday at 5:30am (DAWN PATROL!), and Sunday at 8:30am. Come check out the studio for a real “community” experience. Our clients are like our instructors – friendly and looking for a challenge.
For more of my thoughts on life in the saddle, check out my posts as the in-house nutrition expert at spinning.com. Feel free to send in questions about how to fuel your rides or about how I tie my life together through nutrtion and fitness.
I also take pilates, yoga, and fitness classes at various gyms in Boston. I exercise almost every day of the week and I truly see it as my personal escape. It took me a LONG time to find activities that I really enjoyed, so if you are trying to start an exercise routine and you find yourself getting frustrated by what is available to you, have some patience and give it some time. NO ONE loves walking into a crowded gym after work and waiting in line for an elliptical that was just sweated on by someone who conveniently forgot to wipe it down as they left. Believe me, you are not alone there.
What I like is an environment where I feel safe and comfortable, where the management works to keep the space clean and inviting, and where I am going to have instructors that are concerned with both my safety and creating a challenging workout.

And of course, some bike set-up instruction before your first ride. I see my burgeoning film career right before my eyes.
