About the ARD

Katie Andrews, MS – I am a graduate of the Nutrition Communications program at The Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University in Boston, MA. I am currently completing my dietetic internship – the final step to becoming an RD – at Massachusetts General Hospital. I am seriously passionate about getting accurate, useful, interesting and fun health and nutrition information into the hands of consumers in need. I realized there was a gap between the knowledge we acquire in the field and the level of nutrition education in our country.

I am also a fitness enthusiast and rocking spin instructor at Recycle Studio in Boston’s South End. I’m motivated to be a motivator, and I seriously thrive on getting people moving and sweating. I use my classes as a platform for practicing what I preach, and my ultimate goal is to improve your day with every turn of the pedal.

The first step to bridging these two passions? TheAspiringRD.com! Send me your nutrition and fitness questions and inquiries – from something as personal as “Should I be taking a Vitamin D supplement?” (possibly) to “What is your opinion of Walmart selling fresh produce” (it’s great!) and I will do my best to answer it based on my own knowledge or I will do the research for you to find sound nutritional information backed with research and science. There is a lot of rumor and speculation out there – don’t let yourself get caught up in it when your own health is on the line.
